 What happened

A 16-year-old national-level basketball player identified as Hardik Rathi died after the iron pole of a basketball hoop collapsed on him while he was practicing at a court in Lakhan Majra village, Rohtak district, Haryana.

The incident took place around 10:00 am local time and was captured on a CCTV camera. The footage reportedly shows Hardik running from the three-point line, jumping, grabbing the rim (as part of a dunk-practice), and the full hoop-structure crashing down on him.
